Our Mission of Service
St. Aloysius Parish Outreach is committed to serving all people in need throughout the Great Neck area. Guided by the Gospel call to love our neighbor, we provide direct assistance and operate the only food pantry in the town of Great Neck, in partnership with the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
Whether you need help or wish to offer your time and resources, we welcome you to join this vital ministry.
Food Pantry
Our food pantry, run jointly with the St. Vincent de Paul Society, serves individuals and families facing food insecurity. It remains the sole food pantry serving the town of Great Neck.
Program Director
Bertha del Carpio leads the St. Aloysius Outreach program. For inquiries about receiving assistance or volunteering, please contact the parish office at (516) 482-2770 during office hours (Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM).
Rooted in the Gospel call to love one's neighbor, parish outreach embodies the living faith of a Catholic community by extending compassion beyond the church walls. This ministry recognizes that every person carries inherent dignity as a child of God, and responding to material needs is an essential expression of worship and discipleship. Whether through gathering donations, preparing meals, or simply offering a listening ear, volunteers become the hands and heart of Christ in the local area. Such service not only eases immediate burdens but also builds bonds of solidarity among diverse neighbors. By embracing this sacred work, parishioners discover that serving others deepens their own faith and draws them closer to the Eucharistic heart of the Church, where love is made tangible and hope is renewed.
